I did mine in plywood covered with carpeting as well (posted pics of it here yesterday) You can even use pressure treated plywood for more weather resistance.

Actually, coldness if you sleep in the thing in the winter... I made mine using indoor outdoor carpet. Also added another set of small doors that open between the rollbar tubes, hinged at the bottom. Snuggly. Lotsa room in there too.

That 'luminum is purty though.

Have not started yet but I was thinking of doing the cargo area. On the floor a set of draws that can be pulled open with the tail gate down and up the sides with plywood with small down opening doors to use the side compartments.

I have to have maximum storage and limited "viewing" from the windows.


anyone done this? Would love to see pictures.
