Well, too late for second thoughts now, I pulled the trigger! The 31's are ordered and on their way! I got the Hi-Tec Retreads OTR Mud tires with their exclusive Green Diamond embedded carbide crystals (not available anywhere else in the USA).

The green diamonds will help a lot with the slick roads we get during monsoon season, as well as making driving on ice easier when I go North to the snow. I'm excited!

These Green Diamond things seem to be a great invention, and are known to actually make the tire last longer too. They can be used year-round with no ill effects, and they work about as well as studs when driving on ice, according to testimonials I have read.

I especially like the idea considering how these tires are mud tires so they have less surface area contacting the pavement.
