I FINALLY found a great supercharger for the 3.0 finally! After months of searching, I found a guy who makes superchargers/turbos etc. for Vortech, Ford, Mazda, Saturn, Mitsubishi, Sebring/Avenger/Eclipse and the list goes on.
I'm not too sure about the cost of 3.4L superchargers (I think they are somewhere around 2,500 or so) but these will run 3,000 to 3,500. I'm sure we can get a group discount if we order at once... I'll find out for sure...
They come with warranty and everything you need.
Anyway, let me know if anyone out there is interested in this deal. I know I'm getting one for sure, just thought I'd see if anyone else wanted to get in on this!
Let me know if you have any questions.

I don't have a 3.0L but this sounds like a great opportunity, there is definitely a market for this sort of thing. The questions I would have are:
-Who is the manufacturer? -What type of supercharger is it? (roots, centrifugal, screw type?) -How much boost does it run? -What kind of power can you expect? -Do you need an intercooler? Is one available? -When you say "everything" is included, what does that mean? New injectors? Additional injector? -Does it need an oil source from the motor or is it sealed?

For that type of money you might as well swap in a 3.4L

Cool. Let's put more pressure on that really reliable head gasket. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="images/icons/tongue.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="images/icons/tongue.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="images/icons/tongue.gif" />

Do we have reason to believe that the headgaskets are weaker than normal after repair? I ask because I have 270,000 miles on mine and it runs like a top. It did get the gaskets swapped under the recall.
I wish I could help but I'm way broke. Also, that super charger might want to cost less because you are into swapping a 3.4 or numerous other engines at that price. However, I'm sure this makes for much less labor.
You might have to play guinee pig and try it out.

I hate to bring it up again, but the 92-96 v6 Camry engine has to be looked into if you are thinking about a supercharger. We know you can get a TRD supercharger for this engine.
I know everyone says "Its not a truck engine. It is transverse mount. It'll never work...." but has anyone really tried? even looked hard at the swap?
The engine I'm talking about is the 3vz-fe. Check it out. 3 = revision number, VZ = engine design code, F = 2 cams/bank and E = Fuel injected. Toyota doesn't get real creative with the numbers. So what is it? It is our 3vz-e with 4 cams (and 4 valves/cyl). Lots of car/truck engines swap, right 22RE folks? Who says this engine can't work? What about taking just the heads and the intake? Now, the TRD supercharger kit should bolt right up?
Check out this months import car racer magazine. they put a v6 into an MR2. They considered the 3vze and 3vzfe, but it weighs 50 pounds more than the newer v6 engines (ours has a cast iron deck) Somebody explain to me why the 3vz-fe can't work.
I have a spare 3VZ-E engine we can take apart and see if the heads/intake bolt up. I'm willing to TRY if no one can find a reason it WON'T work.

Please tell me mor about the supercharger. I am always looking for more power out of my rig. If I could get decent power out of it, it would be easier to keep mine than swap out another.
