I bought my 94 Amigo new in 94 and it always seemed to droop in the rear, you know, had that "going up a hill look" from day one. This year I decided to fix this, I bought a set of 97 Rodeo rear springs from a local wrecking yard for $75 and after about three hours, I now have a 3 to 5 inch rear lift with a ride that is much firmer. It no longer feels like I am about to roll over when I go around a corner at 25 to 30 MPH, just a little rear wheel squeal. It now has that graceful rear to front rake. I think it looks great! Should have taken some before and after pictures of the amigo and the difference in the springs, but I did not know how well it was going to turn out. I do have some pictures of the differences in the ends of the springs if anyone is interested. compare this to Wayne's picture of his stock Amigo: ![[Linked Image]](http://users4.ev1.net/%7Esanaghan/main/Vehicle/Docs/Amigo-Stock-Blue.jpg) (Thank you Wayne, for the use of your picture) You can see the difference of where the stock tires meet the creases in the body to see just how high the rear was lifted by the Rodeo springs. The Rodeo springs move the axle forward around ¢ inch, which makes the position of the sliding output shaft pretty close to original. The parking brake cable had to be loosened at the body and moved about ?ö back so it would match up to the Rodeo spring mounting bracket. ThatÆs pretty close!

That has got to be the straightest, cleanest, best-looking Amigo I've ever seen! - A genuine survivor. Don't change a thing - In that condition, it could compete and win trophies as a Classic! Cheers! Smiley
Six Isuzus, so far... still have three of them.

You say there's a back-to-front rake now, but you took the pictures at an angle. How about some pictures on a flat surface, with the camera not angled, so we see the rake? I might do that for $75. Your Amigo is in beautiful shape. Man, you make mine look sad. I'm full of dents, touched-up paint, peeling paint, blemimshes, etc. My tires are patched with nails now (sidewall hits and I have free replacements on order; I just add a little air). Even the Hula Girl's nylon-grass skirt is shedding due to sun rot. And I still love her. The Amigo, not just the hula girl. It did start out flat, but my rear end has sagged over the years. But BlueMigo still has a lot of balls! For those that must know, here's her good side...in a small picture....in bad light. Four balls, to be exact.
[color:"white"]? 04 Rodeo DI ?[/color] 75k mi, body damage on the 1st weekend I got it.

Just when you guys get me indoctrintated, you turn like rabid dogs!! Unbelievable! Somebody had a creampuff troop pic posted awhile back and I said much the same thing your saying now. "Leave it as is", but everyone else had visions of lifts, mud tires, and winches. I agree for the most part.. The rig looks clean and doesn't need much, but some snowflakes and AT tires would raise the bar (unless it would ruin his all star tour of "classic" Amigo shows ). Personal preference is the name of the game I suppose. JD

Some nice snowflakes and some 32 or 33-10.50s would look awesome on that. That thing is super clean though. With something that clean, Id be afraid to take it offroad.

Yeah, it still has the original factory muffler. I did have to do some fixing up. Got holes in the doors fixed, they rusted through from the inside. Replaced the driverÆs door with a 97 Rodeo door Also, found a passenger side front seat back, in a wrecking yard, the seat was a mess and coming apart from sitting in the weather for years, but the seat back cover was okay, it just needed some cleaning up. Used it to replace the drivers side seat back covering that had worn through on the outer edge from getting in and out all the time. Not a hard job, just took a little time. ![[Linked Image]](http://www.teamincident.net/images/seat.jpg) All the drivers seats I could find were in worse shape than mine. The custom tail lights can be had on Ebay for around $60 a pair with shipping, I still have the originals, but I like the red and clear better.
