I'm planning on pulling the huge decal off the tailgate this weekend. A friend of mine who runs the body and detail depts at the local Toyota dealership gave me a can of 3M remover and 2 scapers. One scraper looks like a plastic tongue depressor, to get it started and the other looks like a thin plastic spatula end, to work the last of the glue off. He did advise covering the bumper with a plastic sheet as any 3M remover that runs down the tailgate onto the bumper could fade the black plastic on top slightly.

My friend said they use 3M remover in the body and detail shop all the time and that's good enough for me -
