zero and urso,

Are you sure you jacked your paint so bad that a good progressive polish won't fix it? White, Black, and a few of the other colors of Toyota don't have clearcoat, so you can polish bad scuffs, swirls, oxidation, etc. out. Much cheaper and less drastic.

Regards,
Joel

Must not be factory paint then...
Black, White, Red, Yellow... these colors are non-clearcoat paint. Now, if it is a metallic version then it will have one. All metallics have clearcoat.

(EDIT)As well, I'm talking base colors. If you have Black #202, you should not have clearcoat. That is unless it is Toyoguard stuff from the South/Southeast.

Got me confused enough to call & check... You're right; Dealer installed option (also available in CA), put on by the PO.

I believe the Toyoguard is available everywhere, some regions just automatically put it on. I was pretty sure I was right about that. You had me worried for a second though!

Getting the Wheeling Fever
urso8up,

will you post some pics??? I've started mine but haven't had much time to work on it. I found the hair dryer really takes the extra sticky off well. Then I followed up with some 3m sticker remover. I can barely see the difference in the paint under the molding.

Also what are you talking about an eraser? Care to explain??
