You can fit 235X75 15s on the stock 15X6 rims with a little bit of breathing room. Lifting is accomplished through springs and longer shocks in the rear, and combinations of stiffer springs and strut spacers in the front. Depending on how high you want to go there are options, Kungpao posted up some links here, and I posted some about my lift recently here. Drop-in K & N air/oil filters and a 2.5" exhaust and you're doing all the noobie stuff from what I can tell.

What do I know though, I'm still looking for an exhaust! I did modify my front bumper last weekend to get a little more clearance until I can afford the Rocksportgear bumpers, pics coming soon.

rocksportgear has discontinued making bumbers until better equipment can be purchased or utilised.

Increased air flow (Which I believe and think I see in performance), and decreased friction (so the "data" leads me to believe).

The oil filter should be replaced at each oil change yes, don't ask me to convert 3000 mi towards metrics. I'm imperial and gosh-dang it the other 97% of the world is going to have to come around sooner or later.

I think Castrol is the best there is, but there are several well respected brands.

I did it with very minimal rubbing, had to flex it hard to rub. No rubs at all on the street. I just finished a 2 1/2 inch suspension lift using Jeep TJ springs in the back and springs from sources unknown to me in the front, stiffer with the same ends and coils and some other math stuff that confused me even though it was in imperial measurements.

Not I, haven't learned enough yet on the physics and mechanics of exhaust to totally understand what I'm looking for either at this point. We're both noobs man, I can only tell you what I've learned lurking the last 6 months and recently began experimenting with on the Sporty.

It's all fun though,
Rusty

for a reference, there is a search function on this board that will yield you some great reaults. All of the topics in this thread have been discussed in length in other threads and you'd be surprised how easily you'll turn into your own mechanic lol I know I was smile Before I came around these boards, i never even knew how to change spark plugs <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

Here's a link to a good thread on exhaust

Thanks Kungpao for being polite, it's not for one noob to tell another go search the forums.

NOTE most of my early theoretical knowledge came from exhaustive searches of this very forum, as did the courage to begin acquiring practical knowledge personally. Kungpao teaches you to fish while I hand out fish-sticks.
