Likely to be your AT Temp sending unit which is on the exhaust side of the tranny if I remember correctly.

If it's currently wet where you are or if you've driven through some water recently then it's likely that the cover/boot simply has a crack in it and water is making you get the at temp light. At least that's what was going on w/ mine.
