Mitsu manufactures alternators for many different companies. Chrysler, Hyunday, Honda, Kia and others. They are known to be the better quality in alternators. When rebuilt by large rebuilding companies, they use inferior parts. I personally would NEVER buy an alternator or starter from a chain store. I worked in a small shop in Massachussets & we used all OEM upgraded parts. 1 year warranty, but very rarely got returns. You can go to the chain stores & get a lifetime replacement warranty & replace them for a lifetime, or find a small shop with a knowledgable staff & good rep.

Diamante alternator handles 120Amps of charging. If you got a 150A rating on a Monty alternator, it was surely rebuilt incorrectly, or had another problem that would cause it to fail. I called the shop I used to work at & the owner ( smartest auto electrician I have ever met) told me to not bother with the stock alternator. He could only get 82 amps reliably out of it.He is the one who mentioned the case fitment compatibility of other higher output units.

Station wagons or sedans that are fully loaded with electric everything have 120A alternators.
