Getting the Wheeling Fever
My stock carb was stalling and I got sick of fussing w/it so I bought a new 32/36. I know the truck now wont pass the CO smog test, which is okay. But, I cant have any visible smoke from the tail pipe, which I do! Black, caustic stuff that makes the soccer moms roll up their windows . But its mainly visible upon WOT(quick puff). Is this just an affect of the 32/36 or is there something I can do? Thanks for the help.

plain water also works for blasting out carbon from the valves and stuff. use a very small(too big and you'll hydrolock -- i've heard of guys using the brake booster hose and it caused some snapped rods ) vacuum line and suck in some water through it in small amounts

I just replaced my plugs maybe a month ago, but I havent checked em since the weber install, will do tommorrow. When I removed the EGR it was totally plugged, from the valve to the manifold, so Im gussing I have carbon clotting in other spots too. What is this "sea foam" you speak of & how does it work? So far I like the new carb, but my MPG has went in the toilet. I like to hear the sucking sound and the burrrr of the barrels at WOT. I can do 75 again I get to 3rd alot faster than I used to, but after that Im a turd in the gutter. I dunno about squirtn H2O into the box, I dont want to let pandora out. Biotch is mean.

Thanks for the link, its going into my favorites list. All 4 of the plugs had nice Carbon coats. Cleaned em off real good, then retuned the mixture and idles. No more [color:"black"] [/color] black smoke . Thanks for the info.JT
