Hmm, that electrical connector looks a lot like a fuel injector connector. I've had the entire top half of my motor off, and to me that is what it looks like. It might not be that but check your injectors just to be sure. I don't know about the other sound. It's to bad that the sound doesn't last long enough for you to pinpoint where it is coming from. My cusins truck made a wierd sound so i used a piece of hose and held one end up to my ear and the other around the motor trying to find the sound.
