Before getting my Cooper STTs, I researched my off, and tried to locate the best possible tire for the least amount of moneyà I gave very serious consideration to the Discoverer ST before someone finally convinced me to go ahead and get the full-on M/Ts (Thank you, Sean! )
In the past, on the Rodeo, IÆve had a set of Pirelli Scorpion A/Ts (a great tire, BTW) --- Followed by 2 sets of Sport King A/Ts (each consecutively larger û both of which I found to be abhorrently crappy) --- And now the Coopers (for which I cannot possibly stress the word æloveÆ enough).
If it were *me*, and I was shopping for an A/T, I would not hesitate for an instant to buy another set of Coopers. --- IÆve got almost 30k miles on mine right now (with some of those being rather abusive off-road travel), and as of last Wednesday, I was still showing 12/32 of tread with minimal feathering or rounding.
As for your load-range questionà The second set of Sport Kings were E-load-rated, and I-for-one would NOT recommend that high of a rating for a Rodeoà Just speaking from my own personal experiences, they were WAY too stiff - far more so than my current C-load-rated M/Ts - and they gave me nothing but trouble and a brutally harsh ride.
Good luck - HTH
Cheers! Smiley
Six Isuzus, so far... still have three of them.

here's another vote for Dueler AT's...Great tire all the way around, though, I wouldn't count on them in mud, regardless of depth. They simply don't self clean. I will run Kumho MTs during hunting season and then go back to Duelers. My .02. I still think my duelers rocked! They never let me down. If your lookin to get a deal walk in to a Firestone 2 days before the end of the month. I got 4 tires for the price of three and free mounting and balancing (I also go the lifetime alignment while I was there... their still ticked about that one ) Sorry, couldn't resist, I still think my 265/75/16 LT's were incredible. (but secretly I think I like my 35" MTR's a whole lot more )

Alright, so we are making some progress!!! I am down to two tires, eliminating the RVxt Passenger and the RVxt Load E. That leaves the 265/75/16C Cooper ST, and the 265/70/16C Dunlop RVxt. So the question becomes, do I want to grapple with fitment on the 75s or just settle for the 70 series and call it a day. I believe I possess the capability of making the 75s fit with minimal cussing, but I'd rather not go commando on an otherwise excellent condition rig. I have to admit that I am still leaning towards the Coopers, and if someone can convince me that I'm not looking at more than a day or two (weekend) of downtime working on the fitment, then I may just have my final answer. Can anyone tell me, do I start hammering before getting the tires installed, or am I better to wait until they're on and see exactly what kind of animal I am dealing with, and to what extent I need to open things up??? I recall that 33s basically won't go anywhere until you're lifted and trimmed, but what about my 32s (actually 31.64s)??? -Eric

I believe I possess the capability of making the 75s fit with minimal cussing I do not know about your priorities, but before choosing the Coopers, take into account that 265/75-16-C Coopers have service label N which is, from my point of view, is unacceptible to be installed on a freeway-driven SUV. I've not owned N-labeled tires yet and I am not going to. This service label is very suspisious. I was thinking about the Coopers myself, and it was the service label which turned me away from them. Also, take into account that some cussing is not enough to fit 265/75, you will need to cut some stuff around your front tires. Regards, Oleg

A quick google turned up nothing useful, perhaps you could supply a link for me to verify this. What are the Dunlops... an R rating? Is this a speed rating? Also, do/did you have any rubbing with your tires? Thanks!

I think I found all the necessary information on the Tire Rack website. It appears that the Coopers have an 87 mph safety window.... equivalent to a spare tire's minimum requirements! Oleg, thanks for pointing this out. It does make me a little wary. I think the Coopers are going to need some reconsidering.

tire rack is a good source of basic info. What are the Dunlops... an R rating? Is this a speed rating?
yes, this is a speed rating. I wish Dunlops had S speed rating - like Yokos AT, but R is not bad. BFG have Q. Also, do/did you have any rubbing with your tires?
When my wheel wells are covered by dried mud the tires rub on dry mud. When my wheel wells are clean, absolutely no rubbing. Oleg
