I've been doing some research, and after reading a lot of stuff from the guys i OZ, ( RPW ) I had gotten the impression that the best thing to do to the 3.0 V-6 was to let it breathe a bit better.
There is a guy in Maryland, just out of D.C., that handles a lot of goodies from RPW and he said that RPW sells a stage 1 engine that has a slightly better cam....exactly what Lift & duration it is I've no idea.
He also said that there are some well known casting flaws in the heads & intake and a stage 1 port & polish, combined with the cams, headers and 3" exhaust would do wonders without sacrificing any MPG.
I have no clue really, but thought I'd pass it along. One thing I can tell you is that I sent out some feelers and the only one that replied was Steve Crower,,,Crower cams. He said he could do a stage 1 regring for $85 per cam. That was two years ago, but as I said, I'm just passing it on.
