All of those are really nice looking RS Troopers. Was 1989 and 1993 the only two years the RS was available for the Trooper? Also, for the 84-91 body style did they ever make an Isuzu Trooper SE? Because I just saw an 87-91 body style Trooper today that was a 4 door and had the emblem "SE" behind the window of the rear door. Looked cool if I may say so.

89 and 93. Yes
SE. Yes. I believe Bigpoppax2 has a SE.

Sturdy, that is a bad lookin RS. I second the tire question.

Hey, you got the window fixed!

I fixed the window and the front fender and installed some Tera Lows in the t-case. Not sure about fixing the body damage yet...I have been debating a top chop for about a year now.

What size tires are those?

I bought it from Norm a little over a year ago on ebay. Thanks to his no reserve and lack of bidders I got a hell of a deal- I don't think he was as excited about it as me but it seemed like he needed to unload it pretty quick.
It did have the DOR bumper but some kind folks decided they needed it more than me and took it home--along with some 33" tires, CD player, floor mats(that is right, floor mats), and my battery.

Did they steel it?? or the trooper just didn't come with it??? That sucks if they were stolen!!! If they did, I need to tack weld my bolts on mine!!!!! and my winch bolts!!
Realy nice trooper man!! And I see you have some nice first gens too! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Cool...what kinda lift ya got on there? Any rubbing issues? What is the backspacing on the wheels?

I am very interested to hear, since I just got home with my RS. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />

I like the look of the lift. Mine has the Indy 1.5" lift, but yours with 3" looks better. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

These little RS models are a lot of fun to have. Just wish they had a little more room in them (so I wouldn't have to sell mine).

The RS has a 3" body lift, OME coil springs and spring spacers on the rear, DOR torsion bars up front. I am going to install some Calmini upper control arms in the front soon as well as the DOR diff drop kit. I do not know the backspacing on the rims. They are Rockcrawler 15x10s, they only make one size backspacing for the wheels so you could probably call 4wheelparts and learn the backspacing. I have no rubbing at all. I think I can fit 35s but the 33s need to wear out first. The shocks are Rancho 9000.

Roll Me Over
Thanks for the info...I am hoping to avoid the body lift, but maybe next year I will go hog wild and do the BL, regear, and run 35s.

BTW, do any of you 93 RS guys have an Owner's Manual you could photocopy or scan for me? I should check Ebay...

[edit]I just bid on one on eBay so nevermind, unless I get overbid.

Hey Mike, your Troop is looking pretty good there. Sorry to hear about the bumper and the rest of the goodies. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Steve, couldn't stay away from the Troopers' calling your name eh? Did you get the owners manual? I think I might have one around somewhere if you still need it.
