I've got a good .75" of play in the steering... I remember someone posting something a while back about tightening up the steering, but I can't seem to find it...

Havnt looked at the T but on other cars I know there is a bolt and nut on top of the steering box. If you loosen the nut, then turn the bolt in a little bit while someone else wiggles the steering wheel, you can get rid of the slop. Then hold the bolt in place while you retightn the nut. If you dont hold the bolt from turning while you tighten the nut, you can overadjust and cause excessive wear or binding.

Cool, thanks... Seemed to remember it was something like that but wasn't sure. I'll give that a shot.

On the top of the box there is a nut and a slot in the top of the bolt, loosen the nut and turn the bolt w/ a screwdiver. Adjusting it is somewhat of a pita, being the radiator overflow tank sits right on top. I adjusted mine awhile back, it did help a little. Make sure you hold the screwdriver tight while tightening the nut. The nut locks your adjustment. I still have some play but it is not nearly as bad as it use to be.
