Now I can get to work on ....mounting the 2nd A/C compressor (where the coil pack was) ....

Seems I always ask the questions that are obvious to others. Why the 2nd A/C? I know it gets hot in Arizona, but not *that* hot.

Just so I don't look totally foolish...is it for onboard air compression?

[color:"white"]? 04 Rodeo DI ?[/color] 75k mi, body damage on the 1st weekend I got it.

Simply staggering, BTW, how much room you have in that engine compartment, Dan.

I was wondering what ever happened to that intercooler. Lo and behold...

That thing is beautiful in every sense of the word. He did a nice job on that.

Basically just material and shipping, all courtesy of our own member here 'wiguy'.

At least ship the man a case of his favorite ..... that is one sweet piece of machine work!!! Could be the angle of the pic; but how much hood clearance are you estimating to have? Considered just integrating some kind of hood scoop should the need arise? Good thing for that 2" BL

Yep, on-board air.

No worries, that's only what he charged me.

Well, I'm not entirely sure. It looks awful close. I might get away with no issues, but yeah, I'll need to cut a hole if it doesn't fit. If I do, I'll probably put on a rear-facing cowl induction type scoop to help draw heat up and out of the engine bay.

That area is commonly a high pressure zone with low air flow. Be aware that some vehicles seem to retain more heat in the engine bay with that type of cowling. If you ever see air flow testing in slow motion, the air can reverse flow right in front of the windshield.

Hopefully heat won't be an issue anyway.

Well, I do expect heat to be much less of an issue than before now that the turbo isn't under there. But, the high pressure area is up very close to the base of the windshield. So long as I keep the scoop short and over the hole in the middle of the hood it will be well in front of the high pressure area I think and should vent well.

But, I kinda like the forward scoops on the turbo diesel Troopers too. 4Runner's have a similar one as well.
