The fuel rails have been done for a week or so. Cost was about $50, which beats the $350+ that replacement rails for these things go for. I'm still waiting for a tensioner from a JY for some pics. I did forego the 2nd A/C compressor for now. I only really use my OBA for the ARB's any more and I'm thinking about getting a CO2 tank. I might have other plans for that spot on the motor too... I have been wasting time on new shifters for the D300 as well. I love it. How well does this thing shift? I'll let you know when I get to try it <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> Almost got the shifters mounted. I ended up re-doing the whole tranny tunnel. Put a box in for the tranny shifter to mount in too so it wasn't hanging out exposed underneath, and to keep the hot air out better. ![[Linked Image]](http://www.houlster.com/amigo/drivetrain/images/120_2008.jpg) The motor's about done. Where are you going to put the Klune-V engager? Are you going to protect it in soem way so you don't ever accidently catch on it?

I got my headers coated inside and out with ceramic coating from TechLine. I've used it 2 or 3 times before on my turbo manifolds and down-pipes. It does get dull with use, but it doesn't burn off or rust at least. I'm googling right now on this TechLine stuff -- I have an open order from Summit right now that I could toss this in on. Can I douse the exhaust in Acetone or M.E.K. and spray this stuff directly on, or does it REQUIRE sandblasting? Can I chemically etch it with anything? I know I can send my headers away for coating, but IIRC you did yours in your sideyard -- how'd you get the juice INSIDE the headers? And what flavor cookies did you bake simultaneously to camoflage the use of Deb's oven? And what flavor cookies did you bake simultaneously to camoflage the use of Deb's oven? The instructions recommend to sand-blast. And to *NOT* bead-blast. Bead blasting closes the surface up. I think chemical etching will work as well, or even just scrubbing it as best you can with coarse sand paper too. I wiped it down with laquer thinner, but mineral spirits, MEK, etc should work. I probably wouldn't use acetone as I think it tends to leave a residue. And, only some of their coatings require an oven cure. Others just cure on the vehicle. You start it and let it idle before you drive it hard and the heat cures it in place. Getting it inside was a mess. Basically started with welding wire tied around a rag, then sprayed down into all the ends when I sprayed the outside. Soaked the rag and pulled it through several times. Rags don't work all that well though. They soak up too much coating and don't have the "springiness" to keep in contact with the tube surface pulling it through.. Try to find a painting sponge of some sort about the right size and I think that'll work better. --Dan

Where are you going to put the Klune-V engager? Are you going to protect it in soem way so you don't ever accidently catch on it? Klune shifter goes in next to the twin-sticks. Protect it? From what? No other stock shifter is protected any way, so why would I worry about it here? --Dan
