Body Damage is Cool
I can see this now, in two weeks:

"Well, for best engineering, I'm up against Dallas, Randii, Corbin, Matt, Jeff, and...

.
Dan.

Oh forget it."

I love it. How well does this thing shift?

The cable shifters work very well. Better than the old sticks did and I think it's because these are much shorter and stiffer. The old sticks flexed a lot more which made it hard to pop in and out of gear. These have the same leverage ratio, but being much shorter they don't flex.

I ended up switching the Klune over to use it's cable shifter as well so I could put the cable shifters where they are. Just need to stick the center console back in:

The tan, farther back shifter is the standard drive/park/reverse.
The two, farther up drivers side sticks are the transfer case 1 and 2 gears.
The short, stubby lever on the passenger side is the Klune.
What's the dial box with the red button?

Gear selector box, red button is O/D. A guy on the PBB sells those... but I am not sure where Dan got his. Wouldn't surprise me if he made it after seeing all of his DIY over the years

I was just sitting here, staring at DanÆs most recent photos û utterly awestruck at all of the attention to detail û when something suddenly occurred to meà

That set-up has to be the single most effective Theft Deterrent System ever devised! --- Can you just imagine the mental meltdown that would take place if a would-be crook ever tried to ponder what to do with all of those levers? û TheyÆd have to be carried away in a straightjacket!

I mean, seriouslyà Even after keeping up with this thread, IÆm still not sure if I could drive that thing - and hell, I actually know what all of the levers are for!

All I can say is æWOW!Æ

Sleeping is over rated... I've spent a good portion of my graduate program without it I'll have to admit, though; its pretty sweet when you are able to find the time for it Best of luck to you!
