Down the road do you plan to remove your spare from underneath? If you plan to go with larger tires, you're going to need a matching spare that might not fit under there. Also (I don't know, my spare is on the rear door) but it looks as if the spare must sit quite low, won't this affect rear clearance?

My point is, if you plan to move your spare then don't limit yourself to hitches that accomodate for the underbody spare.

FWIW: Im running the Drawtite, its been great as a hitch and a rear bumper protector. I've given it quite a beating on trails.

Down the road I do intend to remove the spare from underneath, but that's a while off right now. When putting on the 265/70/16s I plan on getting a 215/85/16 (Oleg's idea originally) for the spare. The rim and section width are both 2 inches narrower while still retaining the same diameter. At least when I go offroading it can be easily tossed into the trunk. This is all great in theory, but we'll have to see if it all pans out with the hitch under there. Oleg seemed to think there was adequate room, but that may all be voodoo once I throw a hitch on.
