Three more pictures at my engine rebuilding photo album.

Does the service book contain the info on measuring crankshaft wear, and what, if any, associated oversize bearings need to be used? And the same question for the cylinders. Is there a wear diameter and associated oversize rings to be used?
(In rebuilding the air cooled VW engines this was a big deal)
Thanks.

The Isuzu factory service book does contain everything you need as far as parameters and specifications. You can pick the manual(actually two books in a set) or reprints up on ebay from time to time. Pistons are very hard to come by (Jerry Lemond of this forum had a few sets left) and the only sizes I have seen available from anyone are standard and .5mmOS. I am using the .5mm oversize. There are no oversize bearings due to the type of crankshaft hardness treating("tuftride" chemical treating) so if your crank is worn beyond limits for standard bearings, you just need to get a new crank. Again, tough to come by though....
