When I got my Troop, it had these Radio Shack Specials that werent round speakers. So they were just screwed on. WHen I took them out, I could see where their was a factory speaker hole.

So I put some 6x9's in the back doors, and I took some 6.5" rounds to put in the front. One problem. Towards the top of the hole is a bracket that gets in the way. On the driver side it holds the hood releas hatch, I dont know what it holds on the passenger side.

How did you guys mount your 6.5" speakers? I was thinking about cutting that bracket down a little so I could fit the speakers. Any other options?
