Hmm, I do however question the C02 powered turbo charger. How much pressure could this really create under compressed C02 gas? I would think that the whole bottle would practically be used up in like 1-2 when it comes to pure volume. Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

I bet it works pretty darn good. You have a liquid to gas conversion, keeping pressure relatively constant. You also have that expansion going on as it enters the compressor. Depending on the motor used to drive the impeller, it bet it can produce a good amount of boost. I would be worried about icing.

It is definately a unique idea, at the least.

Granted hood temperatures would be a factor in helping keep it warm after a good amount of warm-up, but vapor pressure will vary significantly based on external temperatures. That'd be one hell of a time trying to monitor consistant pressure. As the bottle cools, the pressure will drop rapidly resulting in less air pressure at the intake. A serious eye would have to be kept on the Air-Fuel ratio with constant changes even @ WOT. Small volumes of CO2 wouldn't make that big a difference, but when you let out a good 15-20 second run on a bottle, I bet it would significantly affect it.

I would bet that that is no. With the liquid form in the bottle, the pressure would stay relatively stable. Of course, temps would affect it, but not to the degree you see changes with all gas cylinders, like O2, NOS and N2.

You may get a pressure change if things start freezing up, but that is going to be an equiptment issue.

Besides, all it has to do is build boost. As long as it is monitored and properly regulated, it does not matter as long as that compressor can spin fast enough to build boost. I am sure there will still be a good bit of computer control required, but....if you want to play, you got to spend all the money. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
