I am supposed to be getting a new long-bed Tundra in a couple of days and would like input on the best soft tonneau cover. Over the years, I've had caps (toppers) and they are very useful, but I find them to be ugly. Also a pain to remove. My T100 has a hard fiberglass bed cover which is very nice looking, but again, taking it off is more than a minor inconvenience. I believe that there are soft covers that mount to a frame that hinges in the front, which sounds like the best of both worlds. Obviously, a soft cover has no security at all, but that's not a concern.

Do soft covers seal adequately against rain?

Can they be mounted without any drilling?

Are there reasons NOT to buy the sort that has a hinged frame?

What type is most convenient to live with?

Thanks for any information.
