Chicago, eh! What part of Chicago? I lived there for more than 20 years. Now, if you measured the distance from the fender to the tire and then lifted the truck from the body (not the chasis)until the wheel came off the ground, you would have the amount of inches the springs(shock if you still have the stock one) will allow for the wheel to travel in off road situations. I get about 6 inches with the Mazda springs. When you get a chance, do you think you can take that measurement? That will tell me how many inches I could get of down travel from those springs. How much did you pay for the Jeep springs? Were they new or used?
