I just put new lines on.... not factory though (toyota couldn't mach them!?) So I used a 60' and a 51' together...refilled my master reservoir and started bleeding the lines at driver rear and so on...

well, I'm not getting any preshure!?

Iv'e gone around a bunch bleeding at each wheel and there spiting juice, no air..... my lines don't seam to be leaking eather, what gives? Any ideas?? I'm thinking there might be air stuck somewhere in or near the master cylinder..?...Thanks -Corey

Check the adjustment in the drum brake. if it is out of adjustment the peddle will feel soft with no pressure.

also, how sure are you that the master cylinder is good?

are you replacing the lines because one of them ruptured and the brake pedal went to the floor? if so, that causes the mc to compress much further than usual. as a result, the seals inside slide against metal they have not rubbed against (and kept clean) in a long time. this can ruin the seals. (had it happen to me once.)

also, i just noticed you mentioned refilling the master cylinder. did it go completely dry during the process? if so, you might should take it off and bench bleed it. and make sure the seals are still good.

If you have to ask about a SAS, you're not ready for it.

Did you use the FSM sequence recommendations for bleeding? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />

Recently I changed my callipers and could not bleed my brakes properly. I tried for 3 days and couldn't get a good pedal. I've bled brakes successfully many times.
I finally took it to a brake shop and they bled them perfectly. ????

Corey,
When I replaced the two main lines that run to the rear, I had exactly the same problem. When all the fluid ran out of the system, it took sediment that was in the bottem of the master cylinder, past the seals. When I refilled and started bleeding the system, I found I couldn't get any pressure to build up. After replacing the MC, I had no problem bleeding the rest of the system. You should check your MC for worn seals and rebuild if need be.

For heavens sake use a pressure bleeder or vacuum bleeder. Saves a headache. Saves bench bleeding too... Search reveals all.
