OK guys I took an old bicycle tube cut it into a piece 6 inches long and glued one end shut. Punched a hole side of an open end and put a piece of shoestring (white and long) through the hole. Then I slide my latch "condom" over the latch and tie it on leaving a chucnk of string hanging to remind me its on (saves the head and ruining the MKII ).
