I have a 93 toyota truck with a 22re and i have been having some problems with it and i think it is the throttle position sensor. The only way i can accelerate is when i floor it otherwise no matter were i put the gas petal the truck has almost no power so i unplugged the throttle position sensor and got my power back but the truck is still not at 100% and i know that it is unacceptable to drive with the tps unplugged. I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to adjust the throttle position sensor or if they have had similar problems.

Sounds like youre TPS has gone out. I had one go out once and had to limp home (idleing the whole way). There is a spring inside the TPS that has probably broken. You can try going to Roger Browns site and looking up how to adjust it if you hink is is still good. www.4crawler.comHis site will tell you how to test one and how to adjust one. Good luck

Also, your FYI, I posted a link for an electronic manual about a couple months ago over in the Taco section if you need it.
