Got a 94 Troop that has the same problem. I have been running 5/30 Royal Purple full synth with about 25% lucas oil stabilizer, and the noise has vanished. I would imagine that you could use any full synth oil as the Lucas will mix with any oil used, even non synth. I also use the Lucas in the tranny/transfer as it uses 5/30 as well. Hope this works for ya.
