Nope, I didn't need to shim my shocks... Still had room at full droop. Could be a problem if I disco'ed my sway bar; Eh, cross that bridge when I get there... That's a few projects away.
Alignment is done... Although I think I may take it back in; They left a little positive camber (1-1.5%) & I think they can do better(), so I'll pay them a visit later in the week. Tomorrow is Doestch Tech Steering Stabilizer day!
Didn't do the Daystar shackles after all... 4WP was being hinkey about when they were actually going to arrive. While I would like to get a set of Alcans, I can't truly justify it right now (I am still unemployed, after all ), so instead now I've purchased a set of shackles from AOR. They're 1.5", but just as before I'll be redrilling & trimming. As for the Taco, not sure but fwiw I can't see it being a different length from the factory, as the few places I've seen with shackles list the Taco with the T for the same amount of lift.
So the long & short of it (no pun intended) is I cranked the front back down an inch (so still up .5" from before), but no rub up front yet - even turning under compression! As for the rear, I had to remove the mudflaps; They hung just a little too close. With 'em off, plenty of room. Can't completely stuff the rear, but I made 2 dump runs of 1000 lbs each today without any rubbing in the rear (and I tried ).
I'll take some pics sometime tomorrow (if/when it stops raining) & get them up here...
Btw... Nobody answered my ? - Anybody know if the T's leaf spring bushings are the type that pop out easliy or are they the kind you have to burn out?
Also, Joel: He's got all the spacers you could want... Not a short run item. He'll still have 'em when you get done moving, or you could do like me & sit on 'em until you get around to it (read: 9 months ).
