i tried searching on this--no joy. my buddy's 88 cherokee has factory cruise. everything is there and i can't see anything wrong but it won't work. checked fuses too. anyone point me in the right direction? any chronic problems or places to look? I've never worked on the cruise on any of my Jeeps, in fact this is the first one I have owned with cruise, just a thought, have him check the switch that turns off the cruise on the brake pedal (and clutch if it's a manual) to make sure its not bad...if the switch is bad, stuck, etc. the cruise would never engage...

There are probably 10 places cruise can go wrong. I tried to fix one following a service manual. I finally brought it to the dealer. Ran about $500.00. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
