If you are inquiring about an 02 Montero, the upper intake does in fact need to be removed.
Also, i'm almost 100% sure the ABS tone wheel is located on the outer CV axle. With that being the case, unlocking the hubs will stop it's rotation which will trigger an ABS code amongst other things.


I guess I need to order a gasket for it.I see what you mean on the ABS sensor,oh well.
