This is a friend of mine truck. 93 rolled 4 runner v6 4x4, and an 2wd 87 pickup cab. Cost him around $1200 to build. The bed is not finished yet. Probably going to SAS soon. Sorry about the pic quality. ![[Linked Image]](http://montero4x4.com/upload/monte-images/100_2163.JPG)
I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.

You can check out his other 4Runner in Xtreme Offroad Magazine, and his friends 80 Yota on Rockwells. It is in the grey rock article.

Sorry to say, but I must object.
I don't see any 87 2wd pickup or 93 rolled 4runner in that pic.
Looks like a 3rd gen extracab with a flatbed.
Why you ask, because I own exactly the same thing.
Clearer pictures my shed more light on its actual origin.

Clearer pictures my shed more light on its actual origin. Actually, I think its a 4runner frame, 87 ext cab pick cab, but a gen 2 4runner front end. You can see the headlights are not in the correct place, it looks like the front end is longer then it should be on the 87, but the cab still looks like an 87, especially the graphics. It also looks like the quater panels have been painted in my opinion which would go with the rolled/repaired 4runner front end (the cab area was obviously too damaged to repair)

I don't think so... that is definitely a 3rd generation Tacoma front end, cab and all, around a 95 model or so! The wheel base is so short, I don't see how it could possibly be a 4Runner frame of any year! Maybe the 1st gen two door model... maybe.

Crrection, not a Tacoma, but what the other guy said. A 3rd gen extra cab front end, ealr 90's pre Tacoma.

Gen1 4Runner/reg cab frame. IFS, etc. The 4Runner and Reg cabs have the same frames with different body mounts (per BudR) - which is what that appears to be.
Judging from the paint, I'd suspect it was a 2wd cab/front clip and 4wd fenders were added.
Nice project. Very cool.
Brian K. Gallus I have nothing important to say.

Definitely NOT an 87 - completely different body style. Cab is most definitely 89-95. Since I don't see the 3rd brake light on the roof, it's not a 94/5.
