I finally covered up the origonal color, which I will call "Toyota oxydized neglected grey metallic" <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />. I call the new paint "rattle can branch/leaf/shadow camo with a fall accent" <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />. Critique is welcome <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />.

You know, I don't usually like camo jobs on Toys, but that is pretty darn sweet looking <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Very cool! At first glance it looks like normal Toyota rust! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I just used stuff from my yard. I painted the whole truck olive drab green, and then used pine boughs, cedar boughs, manzanita branches, and oak leafs to create the shadow look. For example, if you put an oak leaf against a green truck and spray it with khaki tan, you get the Khaki tan overspray covering the green, but when you pull away the oak leaf, that area remains green. Do this with 4 colors and 4 or 5 different types of trees or brush, and you get something that looks like mine.

About 4-5 hours. This includes prep and cleanup.

GREAT job!! One of the nicest I've seen. Now you just have to call Mossy Oak for sponsorship <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />.
Also, you should of done your headlights as well, I can see them clearly <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />.
