Hey all:
I really must say I appreciate everyone's involvement. I'm happy that I have so much new info when I finally get a chance to check this thread. Again, thank you all. For the life of me, I still can't get the ECU to communicate with the OBD scanner. I've looked, and the signal wire is in pin 7, not 2. I've also tried 2, but still nothing. There is something interesting, however. My MIL doesn't come on. I'm happy with that and right now I'm ASSUMING my engine is now running right. When I try to pull codes, the scanner still says "Link failed, try again?" I can't get it to connect, but trying this sets off the MIL. I've just been pulling my EFI fuse to reset the MIL. So, by this, I'm again assuming that there is continuity amoung the signal wire. I know the three other wires, the 1 pos. and 2 grounds, are correct as the ECU is powered via the port. Gonna mess around with this some more, and guess I'm gonna call Mike C at ORS to discuss. Thanks for the name. I've done my fair share of ORS ordering, and I must say, I've found them very helpful and it's nice to find companies that still care.
The A/C issue, as I've read, is in the circuitry. The wiring diagrams don't exactly match up. The 5VZ uses an "Integration Control and Panel" control, and the 3VZ uses an "A/C Amplifier". That's the jist of it, and I really haven't dove into it yet. I've just heard that the A/C doesn't work with the swap. I don't have the 5VZ control, so I'm really just asking you all if there's issues, and if anyone can confirm a WORKING A/C. I can get more specific if anyone is willing or interested in the EWDs.

I did the same thing as you did on the compressor. I put the 3.4 pulley onto my R12 compressor. Easy as pie, and I didn't have to drain my R12 during the swap. Actually wondered why you had to. I've got a pig of R12, that will last my 4Runner and 88 'stang their lifetime. Ever in the St. Louis area? I'll give you a free fillup.
Still working on CC, which is another that has discrepancies in the EWDs. So if anyone wants to chime in on if they've got it to work or not, that would be very helpful.
Also was wondering on the P/S pressure sensor, that's on the 3.4 EH. I'm assuming that it plugs into the newer rack and pinion steering on the newer stuff. I just have this unplugged, as I can't find anywhere that it's supposed to connect to. I've checked all over the pump, and couldn't find any sensor, so I'm assuming it's not used on Gen II's.
I'm still working on this thing quite a bit, so this is where I am now. Thanks again for everyone's help.
