i would only want one for the 12bolt. I think there would be more use for the 12bolt locker. I plan on doing a sas in the future and keeping my 12bolt, so the 10bolt won't help me much. Also the 12bolt would help out 2wd, and i'm sure there some 2wd truck people that would love a locker. I see alot of lowered isuzu trucks around!!! I'm not sure if they have the 12bolt or not, but if they did that could be atleast a few more to add to the list!!

I will definately drop cash for a 12 bolt "drop in"..
As far as the front.. I personally would go with an ARB, for obvious reasons....
Save from dealing with said "miller locked" 3rd...
OH, and I am sure Matt has a few 3rds..but I would be willing to donate mine to the cause... as long as I can have it back around when I get back stateside in late april ..but seriously...all very good points... I say go wiht the 12 bolt... adn as far as the 10 bolt..SAS 'em all

I'm good for a deposit or two for the 10-bolt or the 12-bolt, 'for the good of the breed,' just like some of us did for the ARB.
I'll synch this with Matt next week, if he's willing to run the deposits and handle vendor contacts, we'll will initiate a list post here on 4x4Wire just for folks to commit to purchasing a deposit... we'll have one post for discussion and another for a commit-list, like we did with Tera and ARB.
I look forward to the clickety-clack of 4x4Wire-enabled lock-rites joining the psst-psst of 4x4Wire-enabled ARBs.

All I have to say... Matt, good luck... seems you just unanimously nominated for a job you might not even know about yet Forgive my ignorance, but should this locker come to exist in the near future, am I safe in assuming that as a drop-in for a 12-bolt, it will also be compatible with 4.77 gearing? - would this just need a change of carrier? Thanks, and I'm def. keeping my eye on this thread Santi

If it is the same style locker as a Lock-right/aussie locker/etc, then it will just replace the 'innards' of your existing carrier. No need to swap the ring gear over to another carrier, or really touch it in any way for that matter. The only difference may be if you have the factory LSD. IIRC, the D44 'lunchbox lockers' are different depending on whether or not you have LS (spacers are needed). If this locker becomes a reality, it may have the same issue. Meaning those with LS would either have to get spacers machined or hunt down an open differential to swap in. Maybe if we know ahead of time that this will be an issue, the company that makes the locker could provide the spacers and then people that need them can use them and others don't have to. There's a few people volunteering their open diffs for this project, anyone have an LSD carrier they'd be willing to donate to the cause? search in Isuzu Tech for Bansil's thread on making spacers for his D44 locker if you're not getting what I am saying.

I would be interested, but I do have a rear LSD so I might need the spacers you talked about or finding a third member to put it in.

I'll drop some cash for a 12 bolt (and probably for a 10 bolt, too if I have to to get the ball rolling on the 12). but please, god, try to keep it under 400 bucks.
I think a 12 bolt drop in locker could be the best (and one of the most profitable, for the dealers) mod out there. 1st and 2nd gen troopers are very cheap, and lots of people like them and are buying them now. lots of kids, lots of hunters, (and little by little, more wheelers) are getting into them and as time goes on, they will only get cheaper. so a cheap locker like this should sell easy.

Wow, this is starting to look like something that is really gonna happen. I want to get locked so bad. Hopefully like was stated, the fact that more and more people are offroading the Troopers will help us to get this pushed through. I am willing to put in for a couple as well if I need to instead of just one if it helps get the thing going. I know a couple of other people interested in doing the same.
Let's keep in mind that this might be a long road, even after we get the ball rolling. Designing a locker will take more than a couple weeks or even a couple of months, so let's get it going on the financial side and them be patient with them as they develop it.

I think many of us here on the boardhave the factory LSD (thanks strawmyers) in 89-98 Troops... so hopefully someone will donate a lsd'd 3rd to the cause, because I'm sure a fair amount of spacers will have to be made... whew I would be interested, but I do have a rear LSD so I might need the spacers you talked about or finding a third member to put it in. Jaime, not to burst your bubble, but I think your troop's 12 bolt isn't the same as the one in discussion... dont quote me, but I believe thats the general understanding Thanks folks, this is exciting Santi
