well.......that is totally incorrect. period...speculative or urban myth at best


Powertrax was sold a couple years ago (bought out rather) and Richmond gear just lopped off the low unit number seller. the Gm 10 bolt, was one..........the Isuzu 10 bolt was one.....and others. Just a NUMBERS/sales decision as far as i was told.

that being said........my pitch was that there was poor application guidance (ie as chris stated: it was marketed as a rear locker for 84-87 troopers and pickups <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />)

only the "In-Crowd" knew or speculated that it fit the front.............those random shops and parts dealers across the US, or whatever who had no interest in Isuzu....look it up and don't see a front application....so the end result is lost sales.

Just a side note......i was told (IIRC) that the 10 bolt was a "Low Seller" at (as my contact recalled) about 175 units a year. So that is the kind of numbers that we were talking about.


as far as the 10 bolt...i can sell it. i could bve sold a lot over the last few years. Bottom line is we are going to have to go after that at the same time.they have already invested in it. it's ready to punch up <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> ............
