I put in new rings and rod bearings last weekend and now I'm getting a real irritating lifter noise. I knjow these lifters are supposed to click somewhat normally but these are a bit exagerated. I'm thinking it has to be somewhere in the topend, but what? Anybody ever heard of the cam bearing caps going bad or am I looking at a new cam, rocker arm assembly, bearing caps? I dunno, If I adjust the gap one more time I'll need a new feeler guage because I'm wearing this one out. I'm also thinking .007 and .011 wouldn't do me any bit of good. The truck is really performing better than I could have asked for and it's real nice checking the oil and finding I can put that quart of oil back on the shelf 'cause I don't need it. I did do a search on this common Q but it seems the query leans more toward the date instead of subject <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
