...but I'll rule them out if they don't make fronts

No matter what the fitment charts say, whatever shock is listed for a 1994 Rodeo (or just about any other Isuzu for that matter) will fit the front of your 1997 model...

In Rancho's case, they stopped listing them because their tubes are larger/fatter than most other shocks, thus allowing them to make slight contact with the factory sway bar of a 1996-97 Rodeo.

With my 9000s, there is a small spot of paint scuffed off of them as a result - but it sure isnÆt anything thatÆs worth getting 'knicker-twistitus' over. --- I'm betting that some hand-wringing worrywart over in Rancho's legal department had a lot more to do with making the decision than any of the engineers. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />

To the best of my knowledge, NO ONE within the Isuzu Community has ever had anything more than some paint scuffing (like me) - or maybe, at the worst, a structurally insignificant little dent in each of their shock tubesà

No related failures have occurred with the Ranchos of which IÆm aware.

Six Isuzus, so far... still have three of them.
