The Sensa-Tracs are looking pretty good to me at about $40ea. smile

I wonder how they compare to the Rancho 5000's at about $50 ea, but I'll rule them out if they don't make fronts...

I don't know if this is the best place, but it's one of the first links to come up when I searched.

http://www.car-stuff.com/monroe/par...=shock_absorber

A set of front and rear Sensa-Tracs go for $156.14 shipped.

I also wonder if the Monroe Reflexes are any better or worth the extra money. They can be had at the same place for $183.98 shipped.

No matter what the fitment charts say, whatever shock is listed for a 1994 Rodeo (or just about any other Isuzu for that matter) will fit the front of your 1997 model...

In Rancho's case, they stopped listing them because their tubes are larger/fatter than most other shocks, thus allowing them to make slight contact with the factory sway bar of a 1996-97 Rodeo.

With my 9000s, there is a small spot of paint scuffed off of them as a result - but it sure isnÆt anything thatÆs worth getting 'knicker-twistitus' over. --- I'm betting that some hand-wringing worrywart over in Rancho's legal department had a lot more to do with making the decision than any of the engineers.

To the best of my knowledge, NO ONE within the Isuzu Community has ever had anything more than some paint scuffing (like me) - or maybe, at the worst, a structurally insignificant little dent in each of their shock tubesà

No related failures have occurred with the Ranchos of which IÆm aware.

Six Isuzus, so far... still have three of them.

one of my rear Ranchos 9000X developed a leak in the dial button. It was replaced, free of charge, under the lifetime warranty.

Are Napa Sensa-Trac's re-labeled Monroe's?

Hmm... In addition to the Napa Sensa-tracs being re-labeled Monroe's... are Rancho's and Monroe's made by the same company, Tenneco Automotive?

My Sensatracs (sp?) have Tenneco stamped on them. I installed them last week I think. Too much done to remember. The ride is good. However, they feel soft to me. Still get some nose dive on the brakes.

Work fine for me. I drive slow anyway. HTH - Jackleg

Are you talking about too soft for off-road or on-road?

On-road at speed....~55 ~ 65. some of our bridges have poor lead in and exit. at highway speed, it's like doing a triple in the Atlanta Supercross.

she really floats over some of these . I just drive slower.

Off-road is fine for my not so serious outings and washboard gravel roads are handled better than I expected, but I go slow there too.

I see... so if you had to do it all over again, which shocks would you get? THx

Anyone know the difference between the Sensatracs vs Reflexes?
