sensatrac #'s - Napa part number

37022 @ 32.18 each
37024 @ 33.12 each

I will just buy these again. Cheap and easy to get. However, your truck usage may dictate a different set up. I am easy on my vehicle. You may run heavier wheels and tires, you may have more lift, pull trailors, carry lots of cargo, have a roof rack, heavy bumpers, winch, etc, etc...you see where I am going.

For a regular truck and a slow old fart, these will suit me fine. You may want to inquire with some experts and inform them of your EXACT intentions with this truck. They could tell you the proper model to handle your application.

I am not suggesting that you get these shocks. I am only trying to provide some information to help you make your decision. HTH - Jackleg <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/patriot.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

My intentions for these shocks are for all street driving.

From Monroe's site, the front Sensa-tracs are 37108 and rears are 37024 (same as the Napa part # you posted)

If I read correctly, both the Monroe Sensa-tracs and the Rancho 5000's are gas filled.

What's the difference in performance between oil and gas????

I just saw in the weekly ad that Sears is running a special on shocks. I called and they said that the Sensa-tracs for a Rodeo is $45ea w/ free installation. So for a total of $180 plus tax, I can get these installed and save myself hours since I've never done the install before.

Do you guys think that its a good deal? Instead of ordering them for $156, just pay about $30 more for them installed?

Sounds worth it to me, unless you like getting your hands dirty. Just don't let them tell you that you need new ball joints, tie rods, etc. They often use promotions to upsell other services you probably don't really need.

"Gas" shocks have oil too, but they also have a pressurized charge of nitrogen gas to help keep the oil from foaming. Foaming oil loses it's damping properties, so a gas shock is less likely to fade under heavy use.
