Hello to everyone. First let me say there seems to be a lot of great guys with a lot of knowledge on this forum. May I pick your brain some before I get manuels on the 86 Trooper TD that I just bought. The Trooper has a lower end engine knock, so out it will come for a look see. My questions are these as I have collected several pickups with the non turbo engines including spare parts and manuels. What engine parts are different between the non turbo and turbo engine. I have read post about the pistons and rods being different, but what about other things as the head, cam, block, crank, injection pump or any other part that there is a problem with interchange. Last a opinion question: As I have a non turbo engine on the stand ready for assembly, how would that combo do in the heavier trooper body. Looking for fuel mileage more so than power as 55 MPH is just fine for an "old fart" like me. Thanks in advance. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
