Hey Steven,

This is a good swap. The brake parts on the '94 Amigo are the same as used on the 2nd gen Trooper. You can swap out the complete axle, but the minimum you really need is the housing and shafts. Your existing brake components and diff will swap over no problem.

Another bonus to this is the e-brake cables on the Trooper axle are a little longer as well, so they are less of an issue if you ever go spring-over in back. The Trooper housing is also substantially larger too. 3.25" or 3.5" (can't remember off-hand) instead of the ~3" you have now.

I've been running 2" adapters on each side for 5 years or more, but I've got one of these axles in the garage now as well. I've been wanting to swap it in and get rid of the spacers, but want to do a coil/link setup when I do. Haven't gotten there yet. The width is good, and the tires will still stuff up into the wheelwell (barely).
