Since I have recently won a transmission that I really don't need, nor do I have a place to store it. I was wondering what type of tranny would be the easiest to sell, or have the greatest amount of interest. Its going to be a high performance transmission, but since I do not have my rodeo no more, which would have been perfect, but its gone, and my new truck is in perfect running order, I do not need one. Or should I just go with a built 4L60E and sell on ebay? I dont need the tranny, but the funds from it would be really really nice to help pay for school and such. Thanks for any help.

Taking a page from holiest of holy transmission chronicles, æThe Book of DanÆà IÆll take a beefed-up AW4 with an Isuzu bell housing ( really cheap, if you please!) ![[Linked Image]](http://www.houlster.com/amigo/drivetrain/images/114_1455_small.jpg) ( The Klune V and Dana 300 would be optional, but greatly appreciated!) Will you take a post-dated check? Cheers! Smiley
Six Isuzus, so far... still have three of them.

Basically. I was told to let the guy know what kind of tranny I wanted and he would go from there. Smiley, the AW4 is noted, and who knows, you might get your wish.

for a manual tranny, i'd ask for NV4500... one of the more expensive of the sought after 1-ton slush boxes.

I've looked at the allison as well. Even the 4L80E, because i believe that bolts up to the duramax as well, though the allison i think is probably a better design than the GM tranny. I've probably got a tough decision between the NV4500, Allison 1000 and the AW4. Decisions... I've thought about the 700R4, TH350 and 400, but those are almost a dime a dozen. But the Allison and NV4500 seem to be at the top of my list right now. Especially the allison because there has to be some guy out there with a duramax on nitrous, propane and some serious boost pushing some serious HP and torque numbers who will be wanting a beefed up tranny... Cause we all know how efficient those ISUZU designed duramax motors are.

This thread got me to seeking some answersà Like:
- What transfer case options are there for the Allison? (Turns out thereÆs a standard manual shift, and an optional push-button - but I never learned what they are exactly, model-wise.)
And of course, in order to learn anything, I had to use the Chevy websiteÆs ôBuild your ownö optionà
I lost all hope when my dream 2005 Silverado Crew Cab Diesel went steadily north of $40,000.
Anyway, Dan, good luck with your deliberations!

How much modification are you getting to play with? I mean, if you could do a 700r4 with all the heavy duty parts and a reverse manual valvebody that would probably sell real quick. big block guys like beefed up th400's, and powerglides are very popular with the comp guys.
