I've looked at the allison as well. Even the 4L80E, because i believe that bolts up to the duramax as well, though the allison i think is probably a better design than the GM tranny. I've probably got a tough decision between the NV4500, Allison 1000 and the AW4. Decisions... I've thought about the 700R4, TH350 and 400, but those are almost a dime a dozen. But the Allison and NV4500 seem to be at the top of my list right now. Especially the allison because there has to be some guy out there with a duramax on nitrous, propane and some serious boost pushing some serious HP and torque numbers who will be wanting a beefed up tranny... Cause we all know how efficient those ISUZU designed duramax motors are.
