Make sure you can camp for the night with the rig. I always tell ppl to stay with their rig if they get stranded. Also make sure you have a decent tool assortment and a tow strap or two.
Don't overdrive your headlights in case the game steps out in front of you. Elk like moving at night. Best to just get off the road at night.
