Don't take everything you read on the net as gospel, it's just someone's opinion.

If you wheel your truck you'll find slotted/drilled rotors will get packed w/mud, fine gravel, etc. Fine for sports cars, but for offroad?

I tried Perf Fric pads on my Maxima, totally not impressed.
Went back to good quality normal pads.

Ask Autozone about their warranty, or try Pep Boys or Advance Auto.

Lifetime garranty - lifetime of what ? the car, the owner ? or the pad ?
