I had a long talk with Matt (Indy 4X) about lunch box lockers and snow. He said they CAN be squirrely in the snow when they engage. I decided to save and get the ARB air lockers since I drive in snow in the mountains a lot. It's weird but open diffs do keep the vehicle straighter in the snow at moderate speeds, but I can always lock up if stuck.
