Mclark, that makes NO sense to me.

If I wanted to search on something I had no idea about(which is why I would be searching in the first place.. duh) then WHY would I START the search by narrowing it down timeframe wise?? ...I woudl have NO CLUE when it was talked about. I do not think it puts much of a load on this box, and why couldnt we at least try it??

I have to disagree with you here, but my ONLY problem with the search is this. All other aspects of it work wonderfully.

Yeah, but the archives don't contain everything. Much of the trivial information is absent. Plus, it seems that the keeper doesn't update it anymore.

The best part about the archives is you can find the revealing "riding crops" thread.
Very informative, I might add.
Anyway, all I'm saying is that the faqs section already exists, although it does need some help. Might I suggest some organization? I.e, sections based on engine, suspension, wheel and tire, smog, etc, instead of the random (timebased I believe) format?

I just don't see why 4x4 Wire can't develop our very own search engine that is more user friendly. As an example, wouldn't it be great if we could click "search", then type "Hi, my name is Sue" and click "enter" and the engine would come back and say "Sue, your truck's really screwed up - replace the PCV Valve NOW! - directions follow, tools shipped separately." I mean, now THAT would be service... but you'd probably have to pay extra for the smile.

Shouldn't this be in Talk? It seems the line between Tech and Talk has blurred yet again.

Hmm... That might require some research. Have you tried a search on that yet?
