My guess is that those numbers are for he DOHC motor. I've spent time in a 95sr both as driver and passenger, and the motor goes very well in a 5000lb+ rig, so it a SWB it could be lots of fun.
The torque curve is going to be much higher, due to less displacement, and design ie. 4-valve vs. 2-valve.

Well...you are still going to need to fabricate everything assoc. with the swap, and you will still have gearing and transfercase gearing issues also.
If you can mate it up to the gen-1 transmission, it will be pushing the edge of realibility with that trans, and that is why Mitsubishi didn't use it.
It is going to be an expensive swap, and with a used motor there are other expensive possibilites, encountered while doing the swap.
Any Chevrolet motor is going to be less $$$$$$$ to go through.
