I appreciate the responses, I have to admit I was kinda hoping someone was going to tell me the 3.5 block was the same as the 3.0, but who could get that lucky.

I wish I had more specs going into this but basicly this a transplant from a 97 and the guy is going to let me park the truck at my house to do the swap. The truck has 80k on it so it's a good candidate for a plug and run,
The SWB is getting torn down anyway due to some rust issue's I have got to take care of.

Kary, the numbers I quoted where 2000 spec so they could be off a bit.

Oh yeah and I haven't finalized the deal yet but money will be in the ballpark of 1200 for the entire train and harness.

Another option is to just put the body on the 97 frame, of course this would be a whole lot of work, but might be easier in the long run
